Telit sponsors IoT workshop at TIA Texas event
May 25, 2017
Italian M2M company Telit is sponsoring an IoT workshop that will teach participants the fundamentals needed to help them configure, launch and maintain an IoT product or service.
This hands-on, interactive workshop is an extension of the Telecommunications Industry Association’s (TIA) Connectivity Jam and takes place on June 8, 2017 in Dallas, Texas.
Taught by instructors from Telit IoT University, this beginner-friendly, industry-agnostic workshop will show participants how easy it is to connect things to apps using off-the-shelf components and the DeviceWise IoT platform. Participants will gain hands-on experience interacting with IoT hardware and software and become familiar with the tools and resources available for a successful IoT deployment.
“IoT offers an unparalleled opportunity to ignite profound business transformation across every industry,” said Fred Yentz, CEO of Telit IoT Platforms. “We are pleased to be partnering with TIA to make this workshop available to anyone interested in learning how to get started creating IoT-enabled solutions.”
The workshop is an abbreviated version of the IoT for developers course taught at Telit IoT University in Boca Raton, Florida.
The workshop is open to anyone who wishes to participate; registration for the TIA Connectivity Jam is not required.
Telit offers a portfolio of integrated products and services for end-to-end IoT deployments, including cellular communications modules in all technologies, GNSS, wifi, short-to-long range wireless modules, IoT connectivity plans and IoT platform services. Through the IoT Portal, Telit says it makes IoT onboarding easy, reduces risk, time to market, complexity and costs for asset tracking, remote monitoring and control, telematics, industrial automation and others, across many industries and vertical markets worldwide.
Designed for IoT developers and integrators, Telit IoT University teaches the skills needed to create, deploy, administer and maintain commercial and production IoT services based upon the DeviceWise IoT platform.
• Telit has introduced a smart antenna GNSS receiver module with a feature set that eliminates the need for additional components, making it suitable for IoT projects with size, cost and time constraints.
The SL876Q5-A is compliant with regulatory and industry standards specifications. The module combines an omni-directional low profile embedded antenna and an internal RF switch. This combination is suitable for applications needing two antennas, such as personal trackers and alarms, which must be equipped with a main and a backup antenna when the signal becomes compromised.
