Software AG creates fast track to Enterprise IoT
September 21, 2017
German enterprise software company Software AG has expanded the scope of its Cumolocity IoT platform. The enhanced Cumolocity platform now offers self-service IoT solutions to allow organisations to develop their own IoT applications. These pre-configured IoT solutions are designed to help organisations fast track their IoT services. They include device management, hybrid integration, streaming and predictive analytics.
Software AG is aiming to address companies that want to adopt industrial IoT but have not yet developed a comprehensive IIoT roadmap.
These would include SMB and SME companies as well as many large enterprises.
Cumulocity IoT can operate at the edge, in the cloud or on premise. It includes a range of pre-packaged solutions such as Condition Monitoring, and Predictive Maintenance and Track & Trace.
"Cumulocity IoT is already in use by leading technology companies like Deutsche Telekom, Gardner Denver, Octo Telematics, NTT Communication, Reliance Group," said Wolfram Jost, Software AG CTO. "This gives us a head start in our ambition to become a leading Technology provider in the IoT domain.”
“We recently announced a joint venture in the IoT area which fully underlines our commitment to this growing market," said Jost. "The joint venture called ADAMOSis a major IoT collaborative alliance with the leading manufacturing enterprises Dürr, Zeiss, DMG Mori and ASM PT. The purpose of this IoT alliance is to establish global industry standards for the manufacturing sector using Software AG's Cumulocity IoT as the technology foundation. ADAMOS partners and their customers will be able to leverage a comprehensive IoT platform and services at a fraction of the cost of developing their own solutions in a significantly shorter period of time.”
