Kore and Orbcomm top M2M homeland security market
April 1, 2016
The top eight M2M vendors globally in the homeland security market are Kore, Orbcomm, Westminster Aviation Security Services, Seagull Maritime Security, Thales, Ensco, Northrop Grumman and DRS Technologies, according to a report from Technavio.
The global M2M in the homeland security market is witnessing intense competition among few vendors present in the market, says the report. Many new vendors are expected to enter the market as the requirement of M2M systems is scaled at a high level. Delivering business specific systems would help fetch first mover advantage.
“Few of the advanced global maritime solution and satellite communication providers exist in this market that have expertise technological capabilities in security,” said Rakesh Kumar Panda, a lead analyst at Technavio for M2M and connected devices. “This trend is expected to exist during the projected period as large corporations will benefit by delivering proven reliable, faster and safer security systems.”
