Businesses throughout South Korea can take advantage of the IoT to deliver connected services to their customers, thanks to collaboration between Korea Telecom and Cisco Jasper.
The combination of KT’s high-performance network and the Jasper Control Center IoT connectivity management platform lets local and international companies provide seamless global IoT services without boundaries. KT customers in Korea can manage their IoT services on a global scale from a single IoT platform thanks to Cisco Jasper’s partnerships with more than 50 service providers, which manage IoT devices across more than 550 mobile operator networks worldwide.
KT has been striving to provide customers with a full line of customised IoT services based on its strong infrastructure. To do so, KT selected the Cisco IoT platform as part of its integrated IoT services, which it has now introduced in Korea for the first time.
“There is a significant demand for IoT throughout Korea, and KT is leading the charge to bring the most sophisticated IoT connectivity and management to all businesses,” said June Keun Kim, senior vice president at KT. “Together with Cisco Jasper, KT is enabling businesses of all sizes and across all industries to deliver valuable new connected services that enhance their customers’ experiences while introducing new revenue opportunities.”
KT has strengthened its position in the IoT and the connected car industry and will expand its business and geographical coverage by leveraging the automated connectivity management platform that makes it possible to launch, manage and monetise IoT services anytime, anywhere. With the platform, businesses ensure that their connected services run reliably and securely. Control Center is used by more than 9000 businesses worldwide.
“Together with KT, we are enabling companies to transform their businesses and accelerate their success with IoT,” said Hong Lu, regional managing director, at Cisco Jasper. “The combination of Cisco Jasper’s automated connectivity management platform and KT’s powerful network provides businesses throughout Korea the tools they need to achieve meaningful business results with IoT services.”
For global companies looking to expand their IoT services into Korea, they can also do so with Control Center and KT. Cisco Jasper’s partnerships with mobile operators globally make it easy for businesses to scale their IoT services to additional countries as customer demand requires.
