Grid modernization is a "mission critical" operation for the Utilities industry. Many electric distribution utilities are deploying distribution automation applications as part of their grid modernization strategies to improve reliability, efficiency, asset utilization and performance of the power delivery system. The success of the distribution automation applications, however, depends on a highly reliable and secure network that can support low latency transmission of messages to make decisions in near real-time.
Learn about the key distribution automation challenges and how General Electric (GE) and Aeris Communications help the Utility industry address these challenges.
Attendees will learn:
  • Examples of distribution automation use cases and challenges facing the utilities industries
  • Main considerations in selecting a highly available, secure and reliable network to support latency-sensitive DA applications
  • How GE and Aeris technologies provide a secure, flexible and cost-effective way to transport DA applications over mobile networks
